I saw Iron Man yesterday and it was nice enough that I feel that the remake of Highlander (being written by the writers of Iron Man) is in good hands.
True, Iron Man played fast and loose with the inability of the human body to go from a high speed to a dead stop without internal organs turning to jelly. But it aimed for an X-Men level of quality (and by that I mean the first 2 X-Men films only, of course) in terms of characters having what are meant to be authentic motivations. And it largely achieved that. Robert Downey was perfect as the egomaniacal inventor who develops a conscience.
