Interior. High up in an office building in Australia. An elevator adjacent to a passport office. A diverse range of people with striking resemblances to the characters of LOST enter the elevator. Floors are selected; the panel illuminates 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. All seems to be going smoothly at first, but too many people are onboard if the “Max. Load 2000 lbs” (or kilos if that is what Australia uses) warning is accurate. The elevator brakes engage, but it screeches down past the selected floors, fighting the load, but ultimately descending to the subbasement. The survivors emerge from the elevator into this new, ominous land…

LOAD would be the story of the surivors (about 48 people total), who must learn to apply their skills if they are to survive. With flashbacks to their earlier activities in and around the office building.

Good potential for satire from all the characters, but key to the story would be that Loch finds an Emergency Exit staircase, but keeps this information to himself for about a month.
