I don’t know what it is with Safeway’s clementines, but for the past month the crates they’ve had out have been filled with moldy and/or collapsed clementines. You’d think the mold would have caused the managers to consider throwing them away, but they’d been moldy and still on sale for weeks. Now, they’ve finally thrown those away and replaced them with clementines that appear to have been frozen solid, expanded into ice spheres, then thawed out and left deflated on the inside. They’re terrible. So terrible that after 2 of them I had to throw the rest away. I’m gonna try WholeFoods next time, because Safeway seems committed to making clementines as wrong as possible.
