I’ve been helping my friend sell her VW Beetle, since she is no longer in Boulder but her VW is.
Someone took a test drive and really liked it, so much so that they felt moved to buy it on the spot.
I deposited the check, and we were ready to make the exchange, when suddenly he stopped communicating.
Buyers remorse, we expected, and were nervous all day waiting to hear from him.
He finally called her.
She called me with the news:
He was at work in his machine shop when a hammer fell on his head, and so he’s been at home in bed, with double vision.
“Ah,” I replied, not holding back the laughter. “So you’re saying, this is GOOD news.”
And indeed it was.
The universe works this way with great consistency.
He still wants the car. As soon as he can see straight.
