Starbuck (her back to the camera) prepares to kick ass.
Whoo hoo, Diamond Select Toy’s Chuck Terceira answered my question about whether his company may soon be making action figures from the new Battlestar Galactica series. He couldn’t say anything yet, but the way he said nothing was very suggestive!
Will: [Earlier,] you mentioned “DST is always looking at new licenses and we have some more to announce very soon.” Any chance that you’ve returned to Universal to ask, again, for the license for regular-sized figures from the new Battlestar Galactica? We know Universal told you last December that the license was already taken, but the mystery company holding the license never came through with any figs. You’d do them better anyway (if they could be like your Stargate figs!).
DSTChuck: Glad you like what you have seen of Stargate. We have noticed that there is another Sci-Fi show on after the Gates, we’ll have to watch it sometime and see.
Only days ago I’d deduced that the license to make figures from the new Battlestar Galactica series was coming around for bids again; sounds like this deduction was right.
The economy is so bad right now that very few tv shows or movies end up with action figures. A great show like the new Battlestar Galactica actually getting action figures is becoming quite rare. So this is exciting news.
