Flight is an F word

How come when you look at flight seating availability, there are ALWAYS only 5 or 6 seats available? Always. I’ve never seen, say, a half-empty plane. It is always as if there are only a few seats left. I say this not only from my own experience of booking my own rare flights, but in booking flights for employees too.

On another note, I have written to K and if she says she doesn’t want me to visit, I almost want to cancel the whole trip. I mean, yes, they are my parents and I want to visit them – as a general rule, not like, now – but do I have to practically die to see them? If I was not flying I would not be worrying. So why am I doing this?

I can relate. The fear and anxiety can be so intense it seems to not make sense to do it, but then we continue to fly–maybe it’s because we know that when someone is flying into or away from our town, we fully expect them to arrive safely…therefore maybe, probably we will too.
