Not a New Year’s Resolution per se, but a resolution for the sake of self-interest, I have decided to brown-bag my lunch for as many days as I can. Actually tupperware. In this first week of January, with New Year’s day off resulting in 4 days of work, I prepared my own sandwich each of those mornings.
A normal 5 days of lunches would previously cost me $35 (5 x $7). So, $14 for 2lbs of meat, plus bread…how much is bread? $4? So, $18 in expenses, versus $35… I’ll save about $17 per week, which is great.
